Phil, I have no idea where the boat went... So with the Walin boat, photos, and Ed, I am sure I can get the new boat painfully accurate.
Phil, Call me when you can. I tried to call you a few...
63339This a Karelsen that my Dad ran in A and B Outboard Hydro through the late 60's and early 70's. I am building three. One for Dennis, one for another family friend, and of course one for myself....
Both Kilo & 1/4's.

Have Mark meet me at the Forebay on Friday... I would be HONORED to have him run it with the Konig or the Yamato. It'll all be in the trailer!
.....Because the selfish bastard I am.... I am the only...
Yup. That was just a 66" Deflector on fuel on a 14' Flat Deck DeSilva. I remember Paul had hurt their Stevens Six in the second heat and I ended up winning the Divisionals that day. Then a few hour...
I run a little 3' throttle cable on all my engine that go to (What I call a pendulum) linkage so that all the engines with different cable travel requirements can be quickly disconnected and...
Yup! I have a few of those towers. I have all my boats wired for MSD, Phelon, and the Thunderbolt ignitions. That way all my boats can accommodate the Flathead, Konny, and the 500 Yamato all in the...
A few photo updates.

Another Loooooong day making parts for the hydro. I was able to get the engine angle and height set to where I want it, then I started machining out a new rudder and an adaptor to make my rudder...
Another solid day of preparation on the Karelsen. I have built new transom hardware for the boat, Engine hangers and such. I built them out of 1" aluminum with three engine locations on 1 1/2"...
It's Time! We have been working on this for the past month. We are going testing next weekend (weather permitting).6162061621
The thought was to keep the mid case from cracking. Pulling the front cover around the mains and not stressing the narrow web of the mid case half. The bad thing is todays gasket materials, sans...
That the way my Dad and Rich Fuchslin taught me...
I absolutely 100% PROMISE I will have it at the Oroville Kilos in the Spring. I have the engine running well, and the boat is rigged and wired for the engine. I only need to slightly modify the...
Just picked up a Quincy Z RB Engine yesterday. Can't wait to get into this one, but I gotta finish up a couple other projects first. I basically had ro hide it from...
That is a very nice piece of work there! What is the reduction/tooth count at the dyno pump? I have the same Land & Sea dyno with a load cell added as well, but I have adapted a 70HP 2:1 OMC...
Geez Paul... That's how rumors get started... Now Steve will get wind of this and start charging what it REALLY cost to do this type of work...

Will do. Thanks Charley. Fortunately I will have the proper "Adult Supervision" of Rich "Mr. Big Man" Fuchslin close by. Maybe even a spare engine... Because why would a guy NOT have a spare Six...
Thanks Wayne. As you likely have seen the videos, I have the engine running really well. In fact, the last time I ran it, it ran incredibly well! I even took Bob & Brandon Juby for rides!
When does...
I got a bigger one than that for this project...:p:cool:
I believe the time has officially come...

I too built a Dyno from a Land & Sea unit. Mine however is not nearly as cool as yours will be… I used a 2:1 OMC service unit in reverse gear to slow down the pump speed. I also called a tech rep at...
Also, you may consider an MSD system. Rich Fuchslin runs two, 3-Channel boxes on his Stevens engine. And I think we ALL know how THAT runs! Also with the MSD you can run all 12 plugs by using two...
I had a very similar problem with my 60" Flathead. I was running a RAPAIR ignition box on my 66" deflector on gasoline, worked fine. So I took that entire ignition system off when I built my Looper....
Well I didn't get the B quite correct... But the 60" F was playing ball!

http://fuel-line.com/ These are good quality lines, with good elasticity. This is what I use, and provided you have the correct fittings, hose clamps are not required. It makes for a nice, clean look...
I put my eyes on three Loopers today at a Buddy's place. FA199, FD58, and another 4 cylinder without a number... Maybe a 44... It took everything I had not peel a head off it to see...

Steve,
I have had my *** chewed for this in the past... As a public service, and as a smart -*** friend, I have taken the time to locate and attach the following informational video for you, pay...

Cool Post Wayne!
I don't believe my Dad was ever too successful in AU... The winner of DOH (DOH!) was Bill Wurster, I drove Unlimited for him in 2004 as the Llumar and I have that D Looper in my...

By popular demand, I will start the restoration on my Dad's FA-1 engine he bought new from Quincy. It hasn't been started in more than 40 years, and it's plenty locked up with caster. I am gonna pour...
