.050 over cool, that mite work:cool:
lookin like a merc bracket on there, i need a bracket similar:cool:
wow almost 200,000:cool:
so your puttin a pro50 bracket on a triple omc, i took meat off the bottom of the yamaha bracket and reset the seal
they made 1:71's , 1:85"s in a small foot, like the Nitro and a ski foot with 2:30's . you want the small foot 1;85's seems the best all around
90 has been done, it's to heavy for a reg size racer, i am settin up my shop for jobs. this season is gone. 90hp needs bigger reed blocks to make it really go,,,,,,,,,,,,,
that could be true best to call the owner of Sea Way an ask him what if any thing he has for sale.
Sea-Way gots all the molds from Cees i was told, best to just contact them, they didn't sell FT's hear best i can tell, but they did down under, should be parts to be had there.
so, here are the three intakes i know of,
a set of coated Etec blocks would be nice, bet they would fit
the one with the stops came off a CCC intake, the other has been worked on, i think they went to far on them . no part numbers here......
some straight in reed blocks
for the stinger, just change out the steering toob. did run into one that had a snout at the bottom of were the steering toob goes, i just cut it and refitted the seal.
seaway would have new rods and one ring pistons.
a short shaft 70hp yamaha bolts right up to a pro50 braket
thinkin a pro 50 yamaha braket works, yes it will. did buy new 15" 70hp mids from Hydrotec, may be a used one to be had, 300 buck was a long time ago, like 10years.
i do have a straight moda, but she...
maybe a used one out there. what bracket are you goin to use? oh i would not know about what bullcrap that someone else said i did, but you can always ask me.
never did cut a yamaha 70hp mid down, just took the 15"mid out of the box, about three bills, then, don't see a cut down bein as nice as a stocker.........
the factory made 15" mids, you can chop a 20"
all the mods are done in the power head, the only thing moded in the mid is the tuna. maybe be a bit more specific on what you are lookin to do.
Factory, factory parts, i made the stainless steal tuna................
right hear seems good
5 over 5, haven't opened that chest in a long time, i'll have a look and get back.........
v6 blocks
thats Tboats @ comcast . net
factory jets be best to start, i run LL100 at 50 to 1 XD100 , set timin at 18deg, check fuel pressure and volume at the fuel rail( covered in this thred ), check power head for runnin temp, check...
it's a 19s, makes 95-100hp @ 7800-8000rpms. i'd go one more inch of pitch on the prop, to get her down to just under 8000rpms, looks stock for the most part. don't see were the main water outlet is.
from hear, lookin like a Stinger 75, could be a 65. is the coin still in the top of the block?
welcome to BRF

Stinger tuna is about 1 1/2" long, in a 15" mid, have seen a 20" 75hp with a long tuna. SST60 style seems about best, or 6-7" long, the exit 2 1/2 times the size of the inlet. or...............
well not sure what your lookin for, but see if we can work it out. Standard aka short shaft, gots a Nitro foot with new bearins and seals and the big shift dog. this is were i'll start:cool:
seems got enuff parts parts to put a Stinger 75 together, or three, so i'll build one.
the 3cyl Yamaha is vary similar to the 3cyl Johnson. what shaft length is your 85hp, over hear they only come in L and i think XL transom height.
your pics did not go through i don't think:cool:
the 65 is an older motor, it has no boost port. is it electric shift? you can make a 75hp out of a 70hp. the black box, you want the one with no limiter.
FR has a 1to1 foot, the FT gots the Nitro foot. power head is the same.
gots new reeds and blocks, installed:eek:
hey J.T., that head is on it's way:cool:
 nice:)
?, i did get out, she ran a bit better but still flooded out. i'm pullin them carbs off, got a new set of 1 3/16 carbs tryin them. ?
?, that oversized pump musta loosen the seats,?????????, wow, never seen that before, i'll fire her up at 7:31am tomorrow , at the ramp. see how she goes:cool:
goin to the barn and pull them carbs now, take them to the shop:cool:
the psi is movin around, i set it at 3 1/2, come back later, fire the pump and it's 4psi,? not consistent. She's a handfull even runnin way way fat. be ropein her to the trailer and makin some...
?, took her out, she washed out my plugs, ?, thinkin my floats moved and or the level is to high. carbs seem too wet, takin them off, lookin them over, try again.:(
i never make out well at the lakes around hear, the cops just show up, some times before i get off the trailer:eek::rolleyes:, headed for the bay:cool: goin to use a .060C jet i found in my...
she flowed 121-122 oz in 5 mins,or 11.25 gals per hr., thinkin up the restrictor jet size(56d in there now) then resquese the psi back up to 3 1/2psi and re test the flow rate. sound right? thanks...
i tried two of them style regs they were Specktra or some thing like that, they looked just like the Mr. Gasket one. goin to leave the gauge on the boat, be lookin at it from time to time:cool:...
ok , i did some tests, put a .029 restrictor jet in psi came up to 3 1/2 psi, reg was maxed out
flow was weak, so i ripped that reg off, and went to a Holly 1to5psi reg, put in a .056 restrictor...
nice lookin finger ports,
hey Tim i set that system up with a hand made .060 restrictor jet, with that style regulator i only got a 1/2 #psi with the reg on max 5.5 psi, so i put in a 43D jet and...
