Dale, many thanks for posting the Rooster Tail. Wish I still had all my copies and the Propeller magazine also. A lot of racing history. Many names I either knew or raced against.
Back in those days, CRunabout and hydro were the PR engines or Merc and Konigs. The C-1 class was the Evinrude Speeditwins or P50s.
Ron, if you go, how about asking Alan Ishii to go with you. Maybe he can take an engine or two. Have tried to get him to join.
Do not like the idea of not everyone has a dead mans throttle. Do they have a ignition cut off if thrown out of the boat or flips ? Looks like a fun race otherwise. Captbone, what part of Long Island...
A great issue. Even though my racing days were over, was so glad to see many names of old friends in both stock and Pro racing in race results.
Ed Hatch did a great job with Boatsport.org. Contains, issues of Boat Sport, Speed & Spray, Hydroplane Quarterly and a lot more history items. A great site for old racing.
I can say that all of us will be waiting for the video. All the best.
A Johnson KR class A. Love the old iron pictures.
Hi Dale, Hopefully things will be much better for the next reunion. This getting old is not for the faint of heart. Wish I could have been there for this one. Great picture of present and ol racers.
Tim, looks like you will be missed at both Top O marathon and Mark's AOMC meet. All the best in your move. Al
Hi Tim, are you staying in MI ? That MI air seems to keep the creative juice flowing. Between our old friend, the late Bud Parker, you and Dick showing the way to the future. Hope everything goes...
Hi David, have you ever been to Mark's museum? A few years ago, I met up with Alan when he attended when working out of Indy, I believe. It was great seeing him after so many years since we scattered...
From what I understand, Mark will display some equipment at the boat racers reunion in DePue this year at the Title Series Pro Nationals. Do not miss it. He is a great guy
One could spend a whole day to allow it all to sink in. Mark is a great guy. It is a MUST for a racing member and fan to see his museum.
Yes, Mark has one heck of a display. Looks like he has added a bit more since I was last there. The last AOMC meet of the year is held at his farm and draws people from all over. Can't just spend a...
Hi Tim, staying in MI ? I miss attending Mark's AOMC meet, so much racing history displayed. Have missed many of your MAD machinest displays at Mark's.
Hi Tim, is it the Michigan air that brings out the MAD MACHINEST in you and Dick Austin ? Looking forward to the results of both of you.
As usual, Tim, looking great. Looking forward to see and hear it run when done. You and Dick Austin are the Michigan mad machine masters. All the best on the finished project.
