I don't know about the other synthetic makers, but I'm pretty sure Klotz sells synthetic with different bases. For a while R-50 was marked "Do Not Use with Alcohol" and now there is no such warning...

I use TCW-3 oil in my pleasure motor, but Klotz Techniplate with Castor in my race motor ... because it smells nice
