Do you have Facebook or email FS5?
Timing protection module or rev limiter? They are 2 different electronic systems. Rev limiter just bumps at the rev limit but timing protection retards your timing and causes a decrease in rpms by...
What is the rev limit on a 2000 60hp merc with a Timing protection module?
Fs5 email me tyst67@hotmail.com
I got a lightened flywheel and tried it on my motor the other night, and I can't get spark! My old flywheel still fires! They are the identical flywheel before the lightening but I can't figure this...
Has anyone ever put Chrysler/force gears from a 35,45,55hp into a 40,50,55,60 hp Mercury?
What about adding another carb? I have a twin cylinder merc that has the same bore and stroke as a 60hp 3cylinder merc. I have 1 carb with a Venturi size of 1.25 inches and the 60 has 3 carbs with...
So they help with low end rpms and wide open rpms?
So this is why my motor bogs at low idle when in gear
57525 what are these tunnels for in the intake and what would happen if I plugged them?
Thank you very much! Is there any gains from these plugs?
What are some symptoms of the jets being too big and over fueling
I tried the plug but they didn't work right :( they spark knocked really bad for some reason ! I checked to see if they were hitting the piston but there was enough clearance
Thanks !!! I just ordered a set :) do the guy that told you about them run the extra washer? Or did you do it just to be safe?
It is about the same!!! They are both good working props but my motor was too high! I cut my transom down 2 inches and gained 1 mph! I think I have to drop it farther!!! I am still 50mm above where I...
57314 it's the prop on the far left 18p mercury chopper 2
I don't have a tach but it's screaming! The speed is 55.5 mph! Last year it was 58.7 mph on a much heavier boat and my motor was 90 mm lower
I just finished my new lightweight homemade craft and it weighs about 180lbs! The motor is a 30hp mercury! My prop is a 18p Merc chopper 2! Before, on my last boat which was a lot heavier but same...
It's a 40hp mercury sea pro twin 640 cc! Same as the 59ci mercury's 40/50/55/60's except my motor has one less cylinder!
Has anybody used these plugs on a 2 stroke mercury?
Id love to have that motor :) the 75 and 90's are basically the same motor so make sure your motor has the big carbs and reed cage! You can port them, custom reed cage, advance timing an a few other...

I have a 30hp mercury sea pro with the 40 upgrade! So we are running the same motor!! I can make yours fly! What is your speed, prop size and boat?
I can always make another one if your interested! What is your motor and the specs of it?
Yes sir Jeff! I just finished it yesterday. I hope it gives me some gain over my single carb setup. What do you think it will do Jeff?
567365673756738 all custom build ready to bolt on, any opinions?
what is the difference between the bowl on a electric and the manual?
I ported my stock intake but this is a intake from a motor like yours. my intake is only single carburetor and i am making a custom intake and running twin carbs. but in order this to work i will...
can you see the pictures now?
5653556536 fs5 here are the pictures i tried to send you but they wouldnt send. is every 60hp restricted like this and do you guys port this extra material away for better flow?
I need a carb bowl for my carb. The part is the same as the 2000's year mercury 59ci 40/50/60's
Yeah the bores (venturi) are different, the 40 and 50 are restricted more than the 60. but the basic size and shape are the same. I am concerned in the little holes within the carb. The 60,90 and 115...
I have been doing some studying up on the different carbs that can be used on a 2002 59ci merc. The carbs between 1991-1997 and 1998-2005 look the same, so can you put a 1995 60hp carb on a 2004...
It is a fine piece of work and I appreciate how much hard work goes into it! I put fibreglass on my bottom but I have problems with I tracking and lifting! Let me know how the enamel holds up!
Wow that's light!!! How thick is the wood on the bottom and the sides! What did you use on the bottom for smoothness! My boat was 175 lbs for the maiden voyage and I weigh 200 and the motor 164!
Thank you very much! The boat you built is beautiful! I love the finished wood! I'd like to try building one like that! How much does the boat weigh
Has anybody tried velocity stacks? Can you let me know how they worked?pros and cons
[QUOTE=HankFrazier;136030]
Hehe that's my problem, I tell almost everything to help people out! I'd like to know some of your secrets! New Brunswick is a long ways away ;)
Hank do you run a modified tuner? And if so how did you do the mod?
Yeah sea pros and mariners have stainless shafts and the motor weighs about 15 pounds heavier because of this! Fs5 what reeds do you have now and what reeds did you used to have? And did you run a...
Yes you are right lol I wasn't fine tooth combing it. I ment they are the same carb same motor! Lol and you are right about stainless steal! Sea pros are stainless steal but again ! "The motors are...
They are the same! All parts are the same! The carb is the same size Venturi as the 60 except the 55 has smaller jets! I'm not sure if the 55 reed cage is slightly smaller or if it is the same as well
Ok, so if it adds to top end it probably takes away a little from the bottom end! I have an extra tuner and I am gonna modify it! Do you have any opinion on how I should do it? I would like to find...
Ok cool I never thought of that before!
I'll try that to see if it works! I am in New Brunswick
