Interesting project Tim. May I ask what it weighs?
If at anytime you hit the choke or primer and the engine speeds up ( gains RPM) you have a lean condition. clean/rebuild carbs as was said in a previous post..... then retest.

Well lets see, we have carbs and throttle body's from an OMC V- ? looper, A custom billet intake manifold, twin fuel pumps/with a manual primer,The tower and expansion chamber are custom pieces mated...
There are some that belive that the "up exit" is more beneficial to exhaust scavenging . There was some discussion on the subject in the original "Fast Fred's Secrets of the MOD 50 thread", I think...

Seacow, your post damn near brought me to tears. I share your feelings on that little lake . It was for me as well as my entire family as long as I can remember a place to see,hear,feel and smell...
1) Yes, It's called S.L.O.W
2) To reset, the engine temp must be back to normal operating temp and the key switch must be cycled off and back on agian.
3) If that doesn't work call me...

If you are talking about the "center" magnet I am not aware of any replacement on the market. You might ask over on Scream and Fly.com. The outer magnets can be changed with this kit though, BRP...
Fred, this came to me in a box of Yamaha parts...The cat that gave them to me said this was was a HIGH PERF tuner for a 70hp Yamy....Don't look like it would fit a 70 to me....do you know what model...
Roy, I think I can safely say that Fred is using the three different pistons/rods in the pictures to show the different combinations this engine can be configured to, and what modifications will be...

looks like you need a "banjo bolt" ( a bolt with holes in it so it can pass fluid through it) usually has a copper washer on both sides of what its bolting through.

The OMC 3 cyl and the OMC 2cyl you are talking about are NOT the same bolt patern...It would be very EZ to make an adapter plate though.

Omc ID by model numbers not serial numbers.. This attachment should work for the newer stuff...On the older stuff I can give you some exampels......

Ron, Like David said, 60,65,70,75 HP from 1973 through1985 are what you want to look for...They started going to 56ci " foam casted blocks " ( not legal for FE ) in late 85 early 86.
