Yup
If they are from an older 2 cylinder, I would try what LC said and try 72's, 73s. All depends on how much compression you are planning to run it with and how much power it's making. The more power...
I'm not sure what big bore carbs you're planning to use but I thought I should let you know the jetting could be different from one to the next. The SST-60 style carbs (which if I remember right are...
Phill,
The fella looking for carbs for his twin may or may not have been asking about adapting v4 or v6 carbs to his motor. You told him there was no way it could be done. LC told you otherwise. ...
Well, if anyone knows, I'm sure it's you.
http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/showthread.php?17108-56er-six-pack-build/page2 Doesn't sound like a totally different carb to me. Solder over holes on the butterfly and change or modify main...
It would start, run very well and likely be around 160psi

Yes, they are the same connecting rods and cranks. No, they are not all the same size. Everything has a tolerance. This is why guys pull apart piles of engines to build one.
hupiveneilija,
Did you have any problems with the head warping when you welded up the chambers?
Kevin
Phillnjack - I mean Filthy Phill,
The reason the deck heights are different and pistons stick up past the deck is from people machining them to the minimum specs and using the longest allowable rods...
I have a set of carbs here that have L0433699 stamped on them. They are the same size as the SST-60 style carbs but they are off an early 90's 70hp if I remember right and have the adjustable needle...
I missed this post. Yep, I do still make the adapter plate. Sounds like you have what you need to put together a nice machine now.
[QUOTE=Per;145616]OK, so maybe I have been heading in the wrong direction here...
So the alternative for me would be to try to find a Nitro case and then just solve the Trim parts (which I already...
Basically, what you are putting together with that powerhead is an SST-60. The nitro case is basically the same as an SST-60 case without the nose cone. Lots of SST60's and V-bottoms like mine out...
Is there a particular reason you are planning to use a V4 case? As Oledawg said, it's gonna be slow and a nitro will bolt right up. Just switch your crank to an older 4 spline. Lots of props for...
Good info thanks. Looks like the carbs I have, have the proper plates. Just not sure about the nozzles
Would be nice to see that. Fred, you mentioned before about 2 barrel carbs being different for a mod 50 than carbs off an engine that feeds 2 cylinders like a V4 or v6. Other than jetting, and...
Hey Fred - Do you have that block sitting on a 49ci adapter plate for mocking it up or a 56? Not sure how much extra you need but if it's sitting on the 49 plate now, you'll gain about 5/16"...
