All things being equal you will gain speed with increased pitched. But this assumes:
RPM's don't drop off.
Slip does not increase
You can still get on plane
The extent of changes to the...

I believe your correct 86 was the first year of the 56 cube. You should be able to tell by the design of the head. The 56 had a rather flat head while the 49 had contours where the spark plugs were.
What brought this post to life?
I have a 60 hp small 100 block and access to a 50 hp large 100 block. What's the difference between the 50 and 60 hp power head. Is the porting different or just the head? Where does the 10 hp come...
I have an 85 60 hp I'll have to try to figure out what I have. I don't really remember the numbers being that tall so I probably have the small block. It's down at a guy in town's shop but I'll get...
I see you guys mention the small and large 100 blocks all the time when referencing the power heads. None of you will share with me your classes tribal knowledge on this topic. What is the...
I have a mid 80's 2cyl OMC I bought for a Lake toy project. I have seen references to both the large and small 100 blocks. What is the difference? What is preferred? Why? How do I know which I...
My understanding is that the bolt pattern is the same. But it the bigger clunkyier v4 foot that came on the 20" mid. Which is what mine is. The short shaft had the smaller 2cyl foot with a taller...
Thanks Fred I had know idea how it was done, If I chose not to tack it the lower would still have value to a short shaft user.
How would you combine the 15" lower with the 20" upper? I know Tim Sharkey had a 20 mid on and sst60 on his boat. What is the accepted way of doing something like this. How would you go about...
With respect to the 3 cyl omc's. If you wanted to run a 15" nitro foot on a 20" midsection what would be the smart way to get the correct length drive shaft?
My priority would be tilt and trim for your motors and stated use. I have a similar hull and have a bob's hyd plate. My jack plate was around $900 and if it was free, from a performance stand...
Guy wants $1500 for a broken 1994 40 hp Force motor in February in Minnesota, or 2k if he fixes it. I'm thinking someone is a little separated from reality.
40 hp force outboard, needs stator....
How is the powerhead of a 56 cube 70 hp different from the sst60?
