A 12’ boat would be a C or D alky boat to that Era. DSH boats were typically 11’ & CSH boats about 10’ 6”as the Sid-Crafts & Sid-Sons were. Marchetti’s we’re about the same give or take an inch or so.
Don't recall, but they are available on ebay, just search for metal lunch boxes
Yup, I mentioned that in my post & how they changed it up a bit probably to avoid legal issues with The Parade Magazine. If you look at the picture then the sillouete on the lunch box, it’s clearly...
Not to start any controversy, but the terminology Pumpkin Seed first appeared in the Media on the cover of the Sunday newspaper supplement, The Parade Magazine in 1955. The article itself was Titled...
I will look in my inspection manuals in a few days. Would you sell one of your Crescents to me. I drove a Crescent in APBA class C Outboard Hydro for Dick O’Dea. Won a lot of races.

Toby,
please contact me at jschubert19j@gmail.com. Have some info about 640-N & questions about the Sea Flash you once owned
Never heard of that, BUT
Pretty STIFF prop for a 30H, but if just a MK 30 might be OK
yup remember your grandfather & knew they built their own boats.the video was made from a 8 mm movie. It’s a small piece on the cr of other races including when I drove for OMC & raced in Paris. I...
Sure do & actually have a video which we looked at the other night. Not bragging Brian please understand that. I was running a Quincy Looper. Your dad beat me on the start but I was able to go around...
Brian,
Were these your dad's motors? If so I raced against him driving his B at Montross, VA
Thanks for the last name jog. Saw Tim a few years ago at the OFF reunion in Tavares, FL. Told him that I was sorry about his brother’s passing. They were friends from my days racing at St. Marys
Tim, Bob’s brother, forget the last name. Dealers on the lake who were responsible for the race.
That's exactly what I did on the SST45 & 60 motors. Milled the back side of the reed mounting block & the front of the CC. No tech spec. Found out years ago the the MK25 CC on the popper accelerated...
Brandon,
I need to ask a question but I do not have your email address. Please email me jschubert19j@gmail.com so I can send the message to you.
Contact me at jschubert19j@gmail.com. I have black or white.
1st & 2nd at Beloit in DSH with Sids were Bob Okner & Dick O'Dea both from NJ, the home state for Sid-Craft
The cover picture for the article from the top 502-US Dick O'Dea finished 3rd, F-77 Don Baldaccini winner & 812-C Bob Parish, finished on the podium, not sure what position but he won BSH. This was...
I have race boat decals for : Sid-Craft, white, black gold with red outline in both Nixon & Edison, NJ. I have the early checkered flag with red & gold Sid-Son decals as well as the later Black with...
The reason for the low price is because there are no buyers so that is the current estimated value. The only picture that I have is from a printed article. I have scanned it and attached. Quality not...
About US $3500. I drove one for Dick O'Dea many times.
The reunion was not the big success as hoped. As a result I have 4 XL t-shirts leftover & available plus 12 L. All are reduced from $20 to $12 plus $8 shipping.
contact jschubert19j@gmail.com
Addition to the above there are Champion nationals & Outboard Club of Chicago Depue 1971 nationals. Mercury decals available in 8" & 24" wide

To everyone, as of today there is not enough registrants to move forward with the reunion. I know many of you have indicated that you were going to attend, but still haven’t registered. At the last...
It's a Hall Kelley Foo Ling design.
Looking at the registration as already received, we need to rally around this reunion & get your registrations submitted. We need firm head counts in order to order the reunion shirts & to provide a...
My recollection is that Barry was never in the lead. I know Scotti was then broke & in the second hour Geoff Briggs passed Billy. I took over again at the 4 hour fuel stop & we were in the lead...
Can't wait to see you Skip
.
yes. Only the USTS series runs 3 heats, APBA should, after eliminating those boring low boat count classes
With only 12 registered boats, all boats are eligible to run all 3 heats. So whoever gets the most accumulative points for all 3 heats winsl
If there are more then 12 boats registered, they split the field in to 2 heats of 12 or whatever the numbers of boats are over 12 in half. They get their normal APBA points for each heat. Those with...
Hey Dave
Sam,
I had that thought as well, but thinking that it was Austin, he would have tried them.
Yes he did with a two port cover late 40 c.i. block
Didn't know that I sent an e-mail address, just suggestions on how to contact him. SOA website would have information.
Actually his name is Selvidge. He is racing again still in the NW. I suggest you go to the Seattle Outboard ***. Web site or call APBA ha & ask for his contact info
#44 John Schubert. New at Havasu the previous year. Took to Sid to fix sponsons but blew boat over testing in NJ in the spring so Sid pickle forked the nose to relieve lift. Didn't work too well.
Buler’s SidSon is the same boat in earlier pictures that carried #289 which was me & was the first Sid-Son. Mike bought it from Jim Briggs. He “blew it over” the first time out.
Yes it was a Molinari. Jim Briggs saw it at Molinari’s one year when we were at Cook prior to the Paris race. It actually had a wide cockpit for 2. Ted May rigged it with an 89 cube & won the 1972...
Actually changing the gear case was Jim Stockle's boat, friend of Art. The Briggs brothers were driving # 3 (Tim) & 7 (Geoff).
Do you have the results of the race ?
Have a great day Gene. You are a good friend & I want you to enjoy another great day.
When we were there racing the tunnel boats in the 6 hour, Alan Yaw from Abilene Marine, Tommy Posey, and a few others including Ted May went to East Berlin to visit. Yes, they made us exchange our...
Boy, the timing belt sure looks loose. I tend to agree with Dick Austin with regards to the 2 piece shaft but more so the sticking of the throttle advance as well. I experienced this myself, but not...
