Default Growler breaking 25hp speed record

Gday trendsetters this is a couple of pics of the growler breaking a 21 year old australian speed record for the 25hp open hull class. The new record is 92.36kph set on the hunter river at ramond terrace 10/04/08.On the day the boat maxed out at 96.6 kph or 59.9 mph on the gps.i could not hold that speed because the wind at the southern end was blowing across the river at 25 /30 knots and it was getting under the boat so i had to back of a bit doh !

    Default 25 record

notice that record was held by mark mctye, he was basically having time out of the sport at that time prior to building his hodges f1, it was a wing boat with 25hp omc and a fancy prop

oh serious! Far out i think there may be a couple of guys coming to tas in march to run against us.. Do the Qld 850 guys still run visually stock? The single throat 75 still pushses the boat to 75mph.
What would u run on voodoo?

believe it or not its just a stock APBA sealed 1995 3cyl 698cc short shaft 50 yamaha that i got of craig oliver all ive done is snip rev limiter nose cone and larger fuel lines .it pulls 6600 revs with a 11x24 oh cleaver top speed so far 70.6 mph that was in the 2008 B2B .
