I don't believe the SST45 class allows an electric fuel pump.

Thanks guys,The only reason i asked was i was watching a video from trenton and the 45s were on the starting dock and the announcer said at 40 seconds the fuel pumps will come on.Just was curious if they ran them or not.

The announcer should have said they will push the button to prime the fuel pump.............

I'm sure if you listen, you'll also hear Mike say something like '98mph on the radar gun!', too. The announcer is clearly there to excite the crowd, not to provide accurate technical data. He does a good job of that. Boat races without a good announcer are not entertaining for anyone but the participants.

Thats part of the fun of going to the races is to hear the annoucer call a race. Tech specs, wrong driver, speed. The BS they lay on is great. I hear them say something and think "Say what" whatever the crowds love'em. If not for the announcers we would just be out there going round and round and no one would know who won.
