    Default Anybody know these boats?

    http://altoona.craigslist.org/boa/1587791675.html

looks really fishy when you see them on craigs and they say "I think this is a"
and "the bottom may need a wet system"

they are not far from my house and I don't know of any racers near me.

    Hopefully it's a legit add

    Default west systems

I am thinking he meant West systems. as in West system epoxy . Meaning the bottom probobly needs work . My opinion.

The boats are located in PA, but have IL numbers. Maybe someone would recognize V-21

I looked at the address on the satellite map ... it says the house is right across the street from the local courthouse

Both kind of look like DeSilva's, although the runabout might be a copy, there's just something that dosn't look quite right.

    Default I know these boats

I know these boats. The runabout is a Zorkin that was owned by Estel McRoberts and the hydro is a small Desilva. This rig was located in Vandalia, IL and I guess he moved. The props are great props as they used to be my best 102 stock hydro and runabout wheels. I know this for sure because he still owes us some $$ for them. The motor was a very good engine also.

I think its priced a little high, good boats I guess but Id bet need more work than meets the eye. The motor looks to have the mid dented in on the side showing,, [other side??] & was it sealed at the exhaust & carb? Trailers always need bearings & lights it seems, lucky if thats all. The safety gears valuable but cant really see the condition in pic. Id think 3500 or less is more like it, you can probably bargain some.

I just wanted to make sure they weren't ripped off. I have no idea what I'm looking at with kneeldowns.

I just know I've never heard a racer describe his stuff the way this guy did. What racer drops his skeg in the gravel?

It raised a flag, thats all

I'm thinking the seller is the son, son-in-law or nephew of the racer
