Default Help to ID this boat.......

A buddy of mine bought it in an estate sale in the Seattle area and believe it is either Hu Entrop or Wilbur McDonald D or F class hydro.
It measures 11 foot 3 inches.

Does anyone recognise this boat or have any help with its history? Thanks

Nope, but nice looking Glaspar G-3! We sold several of those back then. Would sit on the tail and ride smoothly and fast with anything from Mark 58 to Merc 800 with a Sportsmaster gearcase.

Would a 150XS still have used a red stripe? The one I sold had a blue....

All true 150Xs's had red stripes and louvered cowlings. There are 74 and 75 150's that had "J" blocks that were the same as the 150XS(same porting) but they did not have the low water pick up gearcase and were designated as 150 short shafr motors. The XS came out in 76. But you never know, Mercury did some strange things. There could have been blue one slip thru the cracks!

No, I do not think that is a Ben Hur. I also think the only connection to Entrop is that he drove a Wilbur McDonald D just like it.

I am pretty certain it is a McDonald D, I think an F would have been a little bigger and styled a little differently - this is an early McDonald
