    We are moving the posts that are hydro instead of inflatable to this thread. I feel that these posts are actually closer to the Mod50 motor than the inflatable mod motors, but too many others see it differently and are confounded and confused.

    There is more than one Mod 50 spec
    Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

    well exhaust is crazy different. as fred said way wider. i could park a small truck in the exhaust ports on my mod 50.

    yaaa was wondering the height differance also on exhaust everyone seems to be talking how the best port job,, like a mod 50???? was wondering the diff over a stocker to compare what i have bin doing to these motors over the years when i run over a 100 mph,,,, also if intake ports still boost port style or?? and if heights are diff,,,,just ver very curious,,,, back to (850) yaaa my ports on exhaust about semi truck size about 3 fingers threw each hole,,,heheheheh,,,,i spin it in the mid8's to 9k over a 8.5 inch dia wheel wich is real big i know compared to some others in class... even at altitude...

    3 fingers in each hole? is your motor a 3 port or 2 port exhaust?

    was yours the 65hp? that you had piston issues with?
