    Default transom height

I forgot to mention; from the top of the transom to the bottom of the tunnel, the height (was) on my boat 24"-that's what it needs to run free- no drag from the gearcase. For TOP speed- about 24-25" pitch prop. in those days a DAH reworked OMC race prop was about the fastest. In fact- we liked to use the large diameter prop OMC made for the 135 h.p. V-4.
(same spline as the 3 cylinder)

Do Not Cut The Transom, You Will Ruin That Hull. You Must Not Understand How High The Motor Must Be. It Had To Have A Jack Plate With A 20 Inch Motor

    Default contact Byron Harris

Byron Harris ran a Lee Craft SST-60 for years and was very successful. I think he lives in Louisiana somewhere around Hammond. Have you tried contacting the builder?
