    Default coolest looking v-4 crossflow?

anybody have any good pics of the coolest looking factory (factory race or fishing motor) of the old motors (evinrude or johnson). am painting mine and want it to look very factory and very 1970's, even though it is a late 1980's crossflow.

    thanks

I made the Johnson cowl out of an old 74 115, the Evinrude is original except I painted the top after I put the louver in

    Default you're right

You are correct they don't go together, that hood I had in the attic for 20yrs. and when Tiger showed up with a blue and white Allison to build an engine for I said I have just the hood for it and I had the side decal made to match the originals.

Look closer, yes it shouldn't have that trim for a 74' Strangler, but the whole engine started as an 86' and it's a 15" shaft. I had my old 78' ph with 77' ignition and a KR flywheel from ages ago so I told John we would make him a custom V4 that may look like it came that way. I made mine out of all different ignition just so I could use the F1 V8 flywheel.

Another year for good looking Evinrudes...it was either '76 or '77 they had two tone dark blue with a red white and blue placards on the sides.

Is there a lot of H.P. difference between that Johnson and Evinrude on the allys? Looks like the prop on the Johnson has a lot more rake.
