    Default Tach opertion

Calvin - I own two OMC tach's from back in the day. They were junk. One I have still kinda works the other glitchs all the time. No matter were you locate the pick-up.(primary or secondary circut). What has worked well for me running engines in the test tank or on the boat is a "Tiny Tach". They are inexpensive and consistant. You can go to this link to read about them. Many of the Stock outboard racers use them for testing. They do not work well with older mercury Magneto distributor systems however.
