In the early seventies, Gino traveled to boat races serving as an interpreter for Italian race drivers Caesar Scotti and Renato Molinari. The agreement was clear he was not to do any technical work. Many drivers only knew Gino as Scotti's Interpreter. He was in fact a walking encyclopedia on CD ignition systems and able to explain complicated systems in mechanics terms.

His talent was tested at a Lake Havasu, AZ boat race. Several engines with prototype ignition systems were misfiring. The crew went to race director, Jack Leek and said, "We need Gino." He methodically accessed the problems and gave a solution that worked.

Gino will be missed by his many friends at OMC. If possible, please come to celebrate his life. Michael J
