    Default Another 350 Konig......

Just got done with an assembly of a 350 Konig with the name "Hoot Bros" etched into the ignition surround. Anybody remember the name?

So according to Paul's theory, that motor was built in 1987, and was the 527th motor built in the VB series. So 527 extermal rotary valve motors in 20 years. Maybe Steve can confirm that serial number system.

    Default More info..........

Tim just called and told me this motor belonged to Jay Hoot at one time. He spoke very highly of the Hoot Brothers equipment and that he would be down soon so we can do some serious testing. I'm ready, boss................

    Default Omaha 2004

    Hi Charley,

Here is a pretty crummy scan of a pic I took back in '04. I think this is Ray's son Stevie driving here. Ray also drove 500R and 1100R. Seems like they raced a few years then sold most of their equipment. Stevie has been deck riding for Derek Gesler the past few years at DePue.

    See ya at Lake Alfred!

    Default That's the guys..........

Thanks, Jean. I remember the Hoot crew but it took You, and Wayne, and Tim to remind me. Yes, from what I remember these guys were always fast and it did my heart good to see that we had another quality engine that did well. I look forward to seeing you in Lake Alfred as do all the Tim Chance Racing Crew.
