    Default Force outboards rev limiters

Does anybody on the forum know whether or not Force 4 and 5 cylinder outboards, also the latter ones which are fitted with Mercury equipment, were equipped with rev limiters in the magic "black box"?

try getting with CDI Electronics..they make aftermaket CD parts for allmost all outboards..they have a tech support that can help you on this..either by E-mail or by phone (1-866-423-4832)..
In the mean time, i'll try to find one of my Force school manuals and see if i can find anything for you....Dwayne

For the benefit of interested members of this forum: CDI Electronics`s Sean Hill (Technical Support Manager) has been kind enough to respond very quickly to my e-mail and states that the latter models are equipped with an external revlimit "box"which is plugged into the stop/kill circuit of the CD module. It can be eliminated by unplugging the wires. For copyright reasons, I could not copy his e-mail here verbatim.
