    Default sst-120 powerhead

I am going to have an sst powerhead built that I want to run 8800 rps for the sst-120 boat. I am told it will have around 210hp how do these numbers sound im new and this will be my first motor and it will go on this boat a 17ft tunnel Ive been told this boat with motor and 190 pound driver is onlt 10 pounds for sst-120. The bottom of the boat is stepped is this a good thing.

    Default 120

that is the general range that we shoot for with the 120 motors. My only comment would be that if you are going to race this in the apba opc 120 class you need to make sure your motor builder understands the stock engine specifications when assembling the motor. There is only so much than can be done when assembling to meet the specs and have a legal motor to run.

I just got out of racing 120 and was very competitive. I still have a drop on powerhead ready to run that was just rebuilt if you have any interest. $3,500. I know it is legal.

    thanks and good luck,
