    Default 40 tohatsu & 40 nissan

    Hey guys got one each of these engines can someone tell me if'n they are rev limited an what wire or wires to cut to make it not rev limited. Sammy in S.C.

    Are they 40 c or 40 d?

    They are both 3 cylinders, one da tohatsu is a 15" manual start, da nissan is a 20" with electric start. If dat helps. Sammy

    Talking Rev limiter

    I think the rev limiter is built into the CD Box..and you just can't cut a wire to make it go dead.
    but theres a way to get it done..contract CDI Electronics, they have a web site..you can send your cd box to them and they can bypas it for you..Or till you how to do it..Had a buddy that had a 30 hp Suzuki that they repaired..He ran in sport C years ago..

    disconnect the bullet connector behind the CDI box and tape both ends............
