    Default Lots of crazy stuff

Well, yes. Very crazy stuff down in Mexico and more to come!!!

Considering the size of the country, Mexico has little boat racing activity. However, it´s starting to grow again. Basically, you can sum it up into 3 kinds of races:

    * Whitewater jetboat and outboard racing, marathon style.
    * T1 SST 120 tunnels
    * Lap races, usually 3 20-minute heats per class for jets and props. (No tunnels)

If you care to see som pics, go to www.motonauticamexico.com

    Cheers.

Default MOD VP Racing in Mexico

LOST-IN-MX is right, Racing in Mexico is starting to grow again
I race the MODVP for the LLANOS Racing Team, in the OB2000 category (Engines up to 2.0L) there is the OB3000 (which is up to 2.5L) I race with a STV Pro Comp 87'

Racing this season has been configured as Enduro Racing (Circuits of 15 minutes), first one was an exact "oval" and the second was in shape of a "L" you can see the pictures and a video in this LINK

    http://www.facebook.com/LLANOSRT

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7ZcBQ7WD40

We also have the Marathon style, this year we have just 2 River racing serials, all the others are Enduro.
Last serial: Alvarado Veracruz (Enduro: 2 hits per 15min) got second place.

I know Mexico now has a bad reputation for the narco drug wars, but that's up North, in the states we are running which are Veracruz, Tabasco and Quintana Roo, there are no problems.
    Best Regards,

    Jorge Llanos

    Default 2011 Racing Update

Thanks for your interest in the south of the border racing.
I've been digging out videos of past racing in Mexico and here are some links:

Now 2011, update of the Races, well several more, since August, this is the Video of the
""Carrera Motonautica Rio Hondo - Bacalar XXVI "", Circuito de Pista 7 de Agosto, 2011
/ this race was the beginning of the National River Championship, saddly the video of the river marathon race was lost, but here is a small compilation of the Endurance heats

The next race, LLANOS Racing Team, attended was at the state of Chiapas, under the magnificent scenary of the "Canon del sumidero" and the Grijalva river, this was part of the National River Championship and the National Enduro Championship.
The race consisted on the river marathon, which was over the Grijalva river, upstream 25km and downstream 25km totalling 50km of racing in the beautiful stream of the Grijalva river, and later 2 heats of 15minutes each for finalizing the River Championship.

The following day, was held the Endurance, 3 heats of 15 minutes, including the Jets & Outboards race boats, it was great to compete against the Small Blocks, Big Blocks and other jet categories. a great show for the public and for the racers a quite an adrenaline.
