Anyone know how you get the drive shaft out of a Konig pinion gear? I suspect its an interference (heat press) fit, no allen bolt or such. Its an earlier Alky Konig with 14 tooth gear set. Hate to get out the big hammer.

Yes, they are pressed on interference fit. Press, don't hammer.
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
Thanks, Sam. Hammering is so much more fun. I had a suspicion about pressing when the oil drain hole lined up so nice. Oddly the gears are fine, the bearings are shot.
