I think its a case of, due to EU law you cant sell new NON green engines in Europe. This is why the carburetor F1000i engine is out of production. However parts are still available and homologation is still current

Would be good to find out if Selva is going ahead with the FI F1000 motor.
I understand that the Selva F1000 props are 9.5x15-16, about like
SST-120 but are rh rotation. I still don't know who in Europe builds them,
    if anyone.

That's surely correct that the carbureted motor can't be sold in the EU.
But this may mean that the FI Selva is going to be rev-limited at an unpleasantly low RPM.
If that's so then it likely won't be able to keep up with the older motor.

The law actually allows you to sell any non compliant engine already in stock in the EU from when they made the law a few years ago.

Phil, the manual is confusing. There are 2 gear ratios, and I do not know
what is either ratio. Do you know? Joe

So flywheel to prop is 22x13/(14x26)? What about the 2nd gear ratio?
