I have seen the Selva race engine many times and it is a perfect little racing machine.
The engine have very few problems to..

I don´t know if you have to have a "green" race engine over here..maybe better to use this one..

get Selva to make a new mid so the Etec 2 and 3 cylinder can be fitted to their gear and you cover several classes for years to come.

Seaway become Selva dealer and supply the new tray, cowl, trim parts and dressed engines from BRP, 15min to bolt onto Selva mid and away you go!

PS if a sst 60 cowl will fit over a etec 90 then one job already done
Selva could also make a mid to fit omc 3 cyl then there's another problem solved

My experience is that the same factory must make a complete ready to race engine.
We all know that BRP has absolutely no interest of making any type of Evinrude race engine.

The best bet is to go with the Selva engine..

I agree. I think you are more likely to see a Chinese racing motor than an Evinrude.

    The Selva is in production
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

BRP not interested, thats why I said just get them to supply dressed powerheads.
After that they do not need to be involved.
My concern with the Selva is how good will its injection be and hence how long will it last as EPA / EU compliant engine?
Saying that Tohatsu have LP DFI can you buy those in the US?
