    Hi Lars

Do you think we can get some data on the race motor ( carb or DFI) to post on the site here?
They have nothing on the Selva web site

    Cheers

Well..I can check if Bimba or someone else has more info for the engine.

A little bit different design of a F-1000 boat with Selva engine.

Default Looks to be influenced by..............

F-1 car design. Wonder what the purpose is.

I am sure the designer know what he is about, but it looks like that front end could be a real "wave catcher", unless it is just the perspective that it is being viewed from.

The Lee Craft Aero Slots were developed using the wind tunnel... so I've heard. Chad Lee would know for sure and may chime in.

I have been involved in f4 (yamaha) here in europe for past 25 years.
The f4 class has been the backbone of racing here for most of this time.
Now the Yamaha has been killed off by UIM!!!!! . We have looked at what can replace it.
Pressure has been to use the Mercury 60. Sorry but this is not a good replacement. Who wants to spend good money on new engine to go 25mph slower!!! .
So we have looked to Selva f1000i.
I have seen the current Selva race in Hungary. Very impressive. Simple 2stroke design with race mid and box speed in low 90mph.
I contacted Selva to buy engine but was told new version based on current Selva tiger shark 80 will be available soon.
With a little research I found new Selva tiger shark 80 motors for sale in dealers for 4200 euros. This is fishing or ski motor but still very good price!
I have spoken ti Bimba and also Tomas Cermak the builder of boat in photos.
From info I can say new green powerhead is being tested on old race mid and box. With the hope to boat test soon. . . .
If we all show some interest I think it may help to get this homologated for 2012.
Here in europe we have a lot of interest in this project. Lots of f4 drivers need new engines to replace the Yam! .
I guess its much the same the world over. We all need to go green but we dont want to go slower and green??? .
Its good to know others think the same.
    W
Maybe who knows this could lead to a world championship class all over the world!
