Yamaha Tiller Linkage Problem

Anyone know if I can use a complete linkage from a newer 60/70hp? To change it from push to pull

If you require pull to open throttle you have to go older
Newer pushs older pulls
Ive overcome it before with chainging the black plastic carby advancer

Apparently the newer block castings have an additional lug for mounting a cable reversing of some sort
