    Default way faster

is the opti way faster, or more consistant ?
shep, you have had the chance to run both set-ups, and also have backed the opti program from the start. you have been boat racing for a long time. you are one of the best drivers ever to strap into a tunnel boat. as far as your re-cap for the past couple of years:
you did win in bay city last year, bay city is always so long you can hardly see the other end. i can't remember the boat count, but i think it was some what light. 8 or 9 maybe.
as far as trenton, yes i started early, but i was not going to beat fairchild or rinker. you could put both those guys in a row boat and they would figure out how to come in one and two. they are the best of the best.
i wonder how the opti would stack up to some of the drivers from the past? bring back paul pittman, scott langraff, gary pugh, shawn t. the river rat john b. or even glynn mathews. i think to this date, glynn has never been beat by an opti. not picking on todays drivers, including myself.
this is not 120 vs. 200 thing, this is about building boat count. how does anyone think they can land a big national sponsor when they come to a race and see 10 boats single file for 30 laps, i can tell you. they shake there heads and stop answering phone calls. ask any of the series owners, refs, scorers, etc. last year was some of the best racing they ever seen. there was even some passing back and forth. we started to loose some big sponsors like hooters, bud light, pertec, the list goes on. people came up to me with a grin on there face and said, lets see how they do with there owe money !!! every time we loose sponsors like that, we all loose. i'm sure some of the teams that are lucky enough to still have national money coming in think like me. no boats,no money.
there are bridges to cross in boat racing in general, series or back yard racing, no boats, no race sites, sponsors go away, we fade in the dark. everyone can promise to come to your race, but in this economy, you better be drawing from as many boats as you can. i don't know how many races i can go to, but i'm thinking as many as we are welcome too.
this post comes from the passion in me, not what's in my garage.
TECHTEAM: maybe you should come hang out for bay city as well as trenton, bay city is by far the fastest water on the planet and the people at trenton and bay city are the best.
bring a couple of your buddys with. we have room for teams that like to race.

i'm late for work, we will see everyone at the national meeting. let me know if i need my swat uniform, Donny #11

p.s. i wish i could find the spell check button

Look no further, you could just buy that 150 motor that has won the nationals 3 times no need to look far, and there aint no bridgeports that runs with it, really?
