    Thanks Ron,

Maybe Miami Marine Stadium, but the place must be fixed up first.

Not sure what it takes to bring a UIM F1 race to the USA but I been told it is pretty expensive.

Default Well, Lars, You Have Your Work Cut Out For You!

While you are in Miami, look up my friend Hank Tester. He is on TV Channel 6 every night I think. Ask him if he has any ideas about a F1 Race in Miami Marine Stadium....Hell, there must be other place in Miami where a boat race could be held.......the whole damn city is almost all water!

No green, white and checker in F1 boating???

No..the end of the Abu Dhabi race was a disaster..yellow flag when there was 10 or 12 laps left. One driver took out the turning buoy and there was not enough time to replace the turning buoy so the race ended 12 laps short..!!.

I don't think anyone could have past Alex Carella.. but finish a race under yellow is a good way to scare away future spectators..

    Lars:

Sounds like there must have been some other problem with bouy replacement. Normally it does not take more than five minutes or so to replace a bouy if the wgt and line are still there. Even less if all you have to do is get to the location and dump a wgt with bouy attached overboard. Did they have a time limit on the race like Indy Car and some other racing does, or was it getting dark? Seems the promoter did not care much for his spectators if there were not some extenuating circumstances at work.

I think there was a time limit and the race was already late from two yellow flags in the beginning of the race..but not 100% sure..

I am not sure who watch a UIM F1 race today..Most races are in the Middle East, China and Russia..and they have no clue what a NASCAR race is..!!
To bad the good old US of A have lost the grip on International Outboard racing..
I guess it was better back then..!!

Default Lucas Oil Says It Best, "Get ME TV"

Get me TV, I'll get you money says Lucas! At one time, Mercury Marine viewed raced as advertising. Now days they view racing as a profit center. Carl once built 200 Merc BP's and gave them all away! Now days, they get $5,500 for a gearcase!
