Please call Carl Staron, Lake Placid, FL. He is the new AOF Executive Director. I still negotiate the insurance and got a good deal this year. I think AOF is charging $350 a week end for a race including insurance, sanction, etc.
Here is his number. Leave messsage and he will call you back.

And don't let anyone tell you the insurance is no good. That is bull. AOF has been lucky enough to remain non-profit for all these years. Rick Morris and Dudley Malone incorporated AOF and got an incorporation that is usually reserved for churches and schools. The insurance rates stay low because of that. They are brilliant.

Thanks Connie. We (the ECDBA) have used AOF for quite a few years. Now that the ECDBA is gone I wanted to get the contact info for a race we are looking to put on this year.

Fantastic Phil, I remember when I gave your first insurance policy to Sandy....how come I can't remember her name? She and her husband were wonderful to work with. Unfortunately there has been a group out there claiming to be AOF for a while and charging the drags up the nose. I contacted the new president of ODBA to explain the situation, and I think they thought I was drinking. lol. Just give Carl a call. Prices are good and you will be treated right. I understand that there is a big money race in Mississippi with drags and kneel downers in March. New site. I believe it is the Buy U Boyz or an outlaw group who will be racing there. More of a run what you brung, but supposed to be good tow money. Carl can fill you in.
Nice to see you back. Connie

The AOF insurance certainly seems like an awfully good deal in todays world of boat racing. Is it possible that a west coast club could run under the AOF flag and get insurance, sanction etc. for their circle races at the $350 week-end fee? We are losing races due to the high cost of entry fees (due to sanctioning costs) and low number of entries. The non-profit clubs out here can not handle the losses.

We would love to have you! It is easy, just call and get a sanction and have a good time.
We have been around for a very long time. (Remember the old NOA days?) We have been insured with the same company for over 40 years. Luckily we are a non profit org and have been that way since day one. No need to try to be a big guy in a little pond. We just a little guy in a little pond having lots of fun.
