    that time has passed, it's not a good fix, all you did is make a problem to fix a problem you let happen, i don't see how you can call that fixed.

    In the mid 1970's Merc made this same change, or maybe the reverse of it, to their 3 cylinder's and changed the horsepower rating from 65 to 70. I don't remember which way it was changed. Other changes were made at the same time to exhaust and carbs, so not sure how much this change affected the power.

    Mechine shop did crank work, not (me) i did not create this so called problem
    So far result's are motor idle's, an run's fine.

    Been quite a while, quess if we will live long enough time will tell the outcome
