Default 40 hp mercury 2005 model electric start carb questions

I have a 40 hp mercury 2005 model electric start. I probably will be up grading to 60 carbs, is there a difference in the carbs from electric start to pull start ? Is there a certain year that the carbs were better made for performance? What year models will fit this engine, example from 1996 to 2005?

I dont know exactly the year but i think its 97 to 06.. 3cyl 3carb 60hp,75hp 90hp will fit. even 115hp carbs will fit. You just have to jet it right with your combination(like port work and exhust work). And there is no difference between electric and pull start.
