    Default Dating the photo...

Based upon the picture from the pits showing two 19-C boats, one De Silva C runabout and a Hill D runabout, the picture is from late 1976. The Du was new in '76 and won the '77 nationals at Bakersfield and was sold to Jimmy Dawe in 1978

Lazy Bones trailer always stood out no matter where they raced. Come to think of it...so did the Rucker's.

    Default Two 19-C's

The 19-C DeSilva in the foreground was sold in Hinton, West Virginia in 1976. The other 19-C, my last Hill Boat, was sold to Jimmy Dawe in 1978.

Funny, nice looking race course, but I don't remember racing there.

As fas as Rucker goes...He was always a gentleman to me, on and off the course. After Bob Powell died (Signs and Designs, Modesto, California), I don't think Billy Jacks's boats were leeter as cool as when Bob did them..Lazy Bones the "F' and Lazy "***" a donkey with a propeller instead of a tail...Great showman, great driver, left us all too soon!

I'M SAYING THIS PICTURE WAS SUMMER 1976...
