This has been an amazing project since the beginning.
I agree with Wayne. This has been an education for all of us.

RE: The small 6 in the background. Is it a Quincy or an Austin??

Which one, the one hanging on the hook or the one sitting on the floor with the green towel over it?

OK! The one on the hook is Quincy XF-7 ( 6 cylinder # 2 ) built in 1967 that I ran in Depue a couple of years ago. The one under the green towel on the floor is an Austin looper that was built in 1971 and ran at Alex in 1972. That one has not been mentioned in any of this thread.

I'm going to look at my contact sheets and see if I have a pic of the one ran at Alex in 1972.

Couldn't help but laugh at the one kid trying to cover his ears. Too late!

Awesome awesome pictures. I have to say I think that is the first time I have seen the electrical system setup (in the boat) from back then. Definitely interesting.

My buddy talked me into putting the starter solenoid in the boat (vs. on the PH). Makes for a lot less clutter and, since often switch engines, I only need one solenoid. Never seen the coil mounted there, however; I like that!
