    Default Great story

What a great achievement to take an idea from ones mind and bring it to a running masterpiece. Truly a labor of love. Outstanding project. Thanks for making all of us part of your undertaking.

Congratulations. I know I speak for all when we have all been anxiously awaiting this moment. Can't wait to see her in the water. Amazing.

Congratulations Dick. I've got tears in my eyes because I'm so proud to call you a friend. I'm so in awe of what you have done! Be careful when you put her in the water.
Couldn't help but note you fired her up at the airport. Was that because of the noise? Naw, why would anyone complain about a symphony?

As A motor builder/maker myself, I congratulate Dick on his building of this motor. Most don't know what really it took to make this motor. Drawing it up, Making Patterns, And then machining the as cast parts. If you look at the thread, Just the time spent to make the jigs and holding fixtures would wear out or at best discourage anyone else. The time spent on jig making to do the simple parts correct burnt many hours. Now it is alive! and like a father at his first born, He is a proud papa for sure. Remember, he said "Why am I going to do this? Because I can!" A great job Dick and I know how proud you must be, Now for the "Test". It may take some time to reach peak performance, but that is the part of making a motor. Great job Dick, hope to see this in person some day, Steve

Mr. Austin, you are a true master of the art in machining. I studied machining for 18-months when I was young, and my grandfather was a master-machinist before WWll and after till the 1960s. He later was a teacher of machining. He would have really liked this precision high-performance engine you made. I definitely do!

I will be building a pro-350 powerhead from scratch one day for sure. Your journey of this build is an inspiration for me! Thanks for sharing this on BRF.
