    Default Nitro Gearcase

So I bought a gearcase on Ebay. Customer knew nothing about it. It came from a Johnson 75 and was never used. I was shocked when I got it!! Turns out to be a 15" nitro. It is in primer and no wear marks whatsoever. The case never had oil in it. I pulled it apart as I plan to reseal it. Absolutely no wear on bearings or gears. The gears are covered with a grunge. brgs look brand new.I will clean up install new seals and reassemble. I understand that these were shipped like this with no oil back in the day!! This thing has been sitting forever!!

    Default Is It Green?

About five years ago, I bought 5 brand new Nitro cases for $500. They were green, no paint. Sold them for $200 each, wish I'd kept them now!
