Default Sea-Way Marine: Bob Jacobsen Family

There are some things I know about Sea-Way Marine, but I' sure there is more that I don't know. I do know that Sea-Way Marine HAS OVER 1 MILLION EVINRUDE PARTS IN STOCK FOR OLD MOTORS.

I saw with my own eyes, all the Mariner parts that Sea-Way owns. They bought all MAriner parts when Mercury quit the Mariner brand.

I know that Jake owns all the OMC Race molds for V-8, V6, SST 100 and SST 45. Greg Jacobsen personally bank rolled making parts for SST 45 and SST 60, 112 years ago and still sells parts today.

I also know that NO ONE beat Greg is SE or later SST 60 very often, if ever.

Sea-Way MArine has been racing their Johnson Racing V-6 in the United States for a few years now. I hear they plan to race the World Formula One tour in 2011. Stay tuned for more info on that.

I was looking at a 1952 Speed and Spray and saw Bob Jacobsen's name.

There was a picture of C.W. Jones when he was a Mercury dealer, giving Bob a trophy for setting a new B Stock Hydro Record.

C.W. "DOC" Jones later would become an OMC Distributor and play a big part in OMC's Outboard Racing effort in '60-70's...

SWMJake posts here. I'm hoping he'll post some family pictures.

    Default Bob Jacobsen: D Hydro

Jake just scanned this picture. I'm guessing Swift Hydro, C-D-F-X, with a Mark 40-H...1955.

Does this mean they are going to give up trying to win on the Prop Tour?

    Default Sea-Way Marine Jake...

The Jake I know, doesn't give up. He keeps trying to help on many fronts. The Prop Tour seems to have imploded. I know Jake plans to race in Texas this year, and probably Bay City...

    Nice
and nice to see someone bolting the steering to the motor with the key bolt in double shear instead of single shear, well done

A lot of racers over here have their steering that way. My 120 boat is set up that way.

I`m glad to see they are still trying. Does anyone know the finishing order in the Texas race?

Final race (I don't know about overall points)-

    1. Simburger
    2. Fleming
    3. Fairchild
    4. Hawkins
    5. Schubert
    6. (#34)
    etc.
