    Default Ron Hill 11 X 18 Cleaver

I have V-hull race boat and Yamaha 849cc 50hp engine. Propeller is Ron Hill 11 X 18 Cleaver. Problem is engine RPM. Now Yamaha run's only 5100 WOT. Speed is around 48 MPH.

My question is how I can reduces the diameter of the prop?
Do I take only blades edge or all the way?

    Default

I am by no means any kinda prop expert but I can say for my fishing prop I needed to turn more rpms and the prop guy near me trim the blades which is the yellow part in your picture and it raised my rpms to where I need to be. Pretty dang cool if you ask me of what those prop guys can do

Default Cut on the Red Line

I'll try t explain why NOT to cut on th yellow line, tomorrow. The red line will help you RPM's...Do ONE THING at a time, ALWAYS.
