    Congrats to team Rinker.

Took me a minute to wrap my mind around the idea of putting Timmy Seebold, Bud Light, Bay City, and JOHNSON! in the same sentence. But I like the idea of multiple brands, so Tim and Seaway - Well done you!

I have to agree with the post about Timmy. Being from St. Louis it is hard to imagine someone with the last name Seebold running a boat other than his namesake and with an OMC engine on the back! I understand he ran the Seebold hull in the heats and finals? Are they still building race boats? Glad to see him back for sure. Just miss the racing here. A lot of fans looked forward to the races every year. Anyone who has seen the condition of George Winter knows it's over for that park. Hope we get them back to Creve Couer Lake again. Good luck Tim!!!

What happened to Geo. Winter Park? That was always my favorite stop of the year. I knew that they had moved it the final couple of years, but didn't know why.

My understanding is that St. Louis County Parks Dept. got greedy and hard to deal with. The park rangers ran ruffshod over visitors including the Seebolds. They hadn't tested there in years. Billy was one of the main reasons the park was built up the way it is. Well Billy and the boat races. That is my understanding from a friend formerly of the parks department. Secondly now the park is in deterioration. Walls crumbling etc. Cuts in the parks department because of gov.t overspending/misspending (they maintenanced about 100 vehicals that the local news had videotaped hadn't moved in almost a year, then had massive layoffs in the parks dept). The whole back staight is one long sandbar now. You couldn't hold a race there if you had to. I will try to get by and take some pics someday. It's a shame. A lot of good memories out there. First ride in the two seater with Todd Beckman, volunteering to help at the races and duck hunting.
