Italy was really great.

Here is a picture from Beloit, 1970. 32-P is Don Pontius, 22-B is Stan Armstrong, 81-C is The Bounty Hunter...with Ron Hill driving...He won. (Ron Hill had traded this boat for a couch, then borrowed it back for the Nationals....Coming across behind is Norn Schaub...(I think). 35 years ago. I was the first Stock Outboard drvier to win a nationals wear a fire proof driver's suit...

Harold (H.B.) helped me tear my engine do for inspection...He took the mag and carbs apart...I aksed when did they start inspecting mags and carbs??? He said he thought "THEY" might like to see them....Old HB was a noisy SOB...But I loved him and miss him!!!
