Default 9/20/2012 Marlee Hill Is Off To Lawrence Lake, Washington

"Damn fool Hills, always racing something," that was a quote from my grandfather in August 1965. We were coming back from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania's Nationals, and stopped at my grandfather's in Imboden, Arkansas. My grandfather took me out side of town, and stopped and showed my a bunch of Black Angus cattle. He said, "You know, you could sell all those boats and buy yourself a cattle ranch." I said, "Yes, but then I wouldn't have any boats." That is when he said, "Damn fool Hills, always racing something."

Well, John Peeters offered Marlee an AXS ride this weekend, work, school, be damn...she went boat racing.....Damn, where does she get this from???In 1952, her grandfather went AOL (Absent Without Leave) from the Army to race at Long Beach to try to win C Hydro club high point in LASA......Old Alky's dad, won High Point that year, Bob Jackson was the high point winner, and Russ spent a few "Extra" weekends on the base because of the AWOL. I think Russ was the same age then as Marlee is now!!

The picture is Marlee Hill at speed in AXS Hydro!

Default You Did See Marlee's New Car???

Marlee Hill worked for almost two years at Hill Marine. We paid he half and kept half for a car. With Tammy Dawe's untimely death, I discussed buying Tammy's car for Marlee. As it turned out Marlee had almost all the money for the car. She has the pink slip and has paid for the car herself. We all feel Tammy would love the fact that Marlee has her car.

Not too many kids now days can say they paid for their car with their own EARNED money. Full time student, 24-7 boat racer, part time Marketing Director at Hill marine and Signature Propellers.......Full time girl friend.....

    Thanks!
Marlee has created quite a following in her travels, publications and racing. She has developed into a confident and trusted competitor and a very capable driver. She really has quite a full plate of responsibilities and handles them all quite well!
We are very proud of her! and strongly support all of her efforts!
Thanks, Sis, for all of your continued support and kind words
