Default Temperature guage sender fitting ?

How can i fit a water temperature guage and sender to a 1995 evinrude 60hp triple.

I dont want to be taking the head cover off the engine and would like to keep it pretty much a stock engine.
In other words i dont fancy any drilling of the engine etc.

I have heard about bolt on senders, do these realy work good ?

My 3cyl johnson had a threaded hole right by the top spark plug hole, made for a temp sender.

I had seen this a few days ago and have since got a fitting that does indeed screw into the
water jacket/cylinder head on the top right hand side in a threaded recess for this.

The fitting is a 1/8th npt thread, also a got a guage at the same time so both sender and
    guage are a matched pair.

I do prefer to have a temp guage rather than wait for an alarm to tell me the engine is
aready way over its correct running temp.
From info i have gathered the alarm goes off when the engine is far too hot for my liking.
