    Default left hand racing gearcases

I have a left hand omc clubfoot gearcase from a johnson stinger. Did the left hand case improve the turning or the handing or both?

    Default

A tunnel boat designed for circuit racing with a single engine turns better with a left hand gear case.
Well..if you race an a course with only left turns..

Default Lars Is Right On A Single Engine Boat

But, in the early days, during the Stinger era and before, like X-115 Evinrude and GT-115 Johnson days, we raced twin engine boats. If both props turned right hand or left hand for that matter, King Kong could not have held the steering wheel straight. The left and right rotation gearcases were to cut the torque on the boat and on the steering wheel to zero.
