    Default Ford Flathead 6 cyl.

I have a ford flathead 6 cyl. that came with a resonly purchased 1945 vintage 17 ft. race hydroplane and there is no I.D for as the make or model
anywhere on the engine. This is what I do know about it! Apparently it is a 225 cid. ford flathead 6 cyl. with 3 Stromberg 97's - down draft carburators
with a 3 hole intake custom manifold with a finned alunimum head from california, and a distributor and cap for a V12 engine presently installed
in the engine and 2 mallory ignition coils, and a extra deep water cooled oil pan.

If anyone could give me some insight on what I'm dealing with or who I can contact, could you please let me know!!!!

    Thank You in advance...... Merc.........!

If you contact Socal Speedshop they can most likely hook you up with anything you may need. The V-8 was a more popular lakester motor but there were some pretty fast flat sixes in the 40's/50's/60's and they sold goodies and built many of them. Post some photos, it would be cool to see.
