I bet the new short shaft 60 would work better...........is the APBA motor still on the West Coast? Nice job RJ

With an educated prop guess by dave dewald we are going 0 to 68 (rev limiter) in 15 to 16 seconds and coming of a 90 degree turn to 68 in 10 seconds. It seems we can go up a bit and turn some more pitch which we will test later this week!

Looks good, but sure the newer 4s racing will look better...
Motor seems to sit high on the boat, do this engine has a longer shaft than the racing version?
Prop in europe for the 4s class seems to be arround 11x22.

Mercury 12x22 cut down to 11x22 is what they use, sounds like a contradiction to anyone familiar with SE or SST60.
I reworked a 11 3/4"x22 Dewald on the spot in Berlin last Aug., then the motor hit the rev limiter as soon as the driver accelerated from dead stop.
Whether any of them have tried the right (larger) dia. is unknown to me. I hope that APBA does NOT encourage this
class in the U.S. The Evinrude 2 stroke would be a better choice except that the gear ratio is less than 2:1. Better to
forget this altogether and go with the Selva. A slow accelerating 65 mph tunnel is not a replacement class for SST 60, F4S runs 65 mph @ 6200 RPM,
SST 60 runs 80 mph @ 8000 RPM. With the rev limiter it's impossible to prop the F4S motor in any way that makes sense,
it's like trying to climb a smooth, greased pole. Sport C is a far better choice than F4S.

What's a 31m? Hard to get APBA to agree to something that's put together from different motors.

What motor is that? I would imgine that those motors and parts are as
rare as hen's teeth. SST60 is just fine. Perfect. Except, motors and parts are
either hard to find or NA.
