    Default Parker racing

I just got a message from an old friend asking if I could find any photos' info and general history regarding his uncle, Jim Parker. I believe this is the same Parker who manufactured gearcases, mid sections and other performance parts for Mercury in-line 6's
Any info would be very helpful!
    Thanks,

    Bunker Hill

Don't know anything about a James Parker or Jim Parker we called him Jimmy. It was 1970 or 1971 I had bought a Westbrook drag hydro single engine outboard from Bob Piper and we were having set up problems The only powerhead I could raise was a worn out 110 my uncle had on his ski boat The boat ran in the 95 to 100 mph class with a 125 but with the 110 it wouldn't drag it's *** out of the hole. My dad calls a favor in. This guy drives up in a brand new Caddy Black pearl paint job, by Kirby Brothers Corvette, out jumps Jimmy Parker and a buddy Jack Oxley. The boat was upside down in the garage we are trying to figure out how to get a worn out 110 powerhead to push the toad back up to where it should run. I had met Jimmy and had seen him at races before I knew he was involved with Chrysler and MacCulliough before that he had raced Power Cats, Carlsons,Kirby Hydros,Style Crafts, My dad thought enough of him to seek his advice about the hydro and my dad didn't call many experts for advise He was usually the guy being called when it came to bottoms. Well Oxley and Jimmy show up.( I will continue this story later)
