I'm not sure exactly how much I'd give up to own a Molanari with a real F1 V8, but it would be a lot! Definitely the coolest ****e ever built as far as I'm concerned.

After building several boats there, they moved the construction back to Williamson, NY where they both were from.
Actually the 1st boat designed at Gary's Second Effort where designed and built by his good friend David Lee with whom Gary had worked with at Fountain. Ironically both the Lee's and the Garbrechts left NC on the same day. Dad also built the 1st US capsule for that boat...wow I was just a kid!

    Default Jake Gilbreath

I believe Jake Gilbreath is also behind the wheel of this #26 boat owned by Paul Bills - also owner of the #218 next to it in the line up

I remember when the black boat came off the Como factory-line in 1973. It was so cool looking with the rainbow racing stripes. Previous Molinari boats that year had a tendency to be with a white base background. That boat in 1973 looked ominous with it's new V6 Merc.

If memory serves me right, Renato Molinari & Bob Hering teamed-up in Paris 1973, driving the Black & Rainbow boat.
    Regarding Photo in post #552.
