    there are two marks on the pully for the mag. How is a mk 55 timed?

    What are you going to be using this motor for? Couple of different ways to do it, for normal everyday use, not too complicated but for high performance you should use a dial gauge and a buzz box.

    Thanks for the reply Karl this is going to be a performance power head. Just finished cutting the crank down, (beveled). rebalancing to follow. Then its on to the rods, weighting and matching rotating and reciprocating ends. Then matching the piston weights. All this I'm barrowing from my Harley drag racing days, If I could make a Harley motor with
    4 inch stroke and 4 inch pistons turn 9-grand on nitrous and make the valve train stay together. I should be able to transfer some of those principle's. I do have a buzz box.
    and gauge I guess, I'm just looking for the specs. short cut. thanks
