    WooHoo, that's me in the 250cc "K'-66" ! Alan Tilton in the F-92 350cc.
Had I known 1984 was going to be my peak year, I would have tried harder

What is it about the DeSilva runabouts of this era that , well , just has a coolness about them. Their stance and profile on the water makes them look so fast. While the new Krier runabout are neat and probably safer , the picture from the program Of Steve Litzell , Tom Kirts , Rick Krier and whoever is on the outside is classic. They looked so racey in the water , from the front , from behind it looked like they were kneeling on a piece of plywood.

Also the boat above of Dean Wilson in the US-2 boat was not a DeSilva. This boat was a Sorenson built 1100r. It looked like a checker board inside to help keep the bottom straight. Nelson Gong was his rider.
The DeSilva boats were really nice and looked great. I liked the lines of the boats and always liked the cowling design. They were fun boats to drive up to a certain speed for me but that was just me and my dumb set ups lol. I also like the Krier boats and am glad I have mine.
